Dear Art Lovers,

We write to you with regards to our friend and fellow artist, MAICA DELFINO. She is a 31-year old Filipina who was forced to leave her work in Singapore because of rapidly progressing Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). Within a month, she moved from Stage 3 to Stage 4. She is doing her best to fight the disease and to prevent moving to the final stage (Stage 5 = total kidney failure).Her doctor has recommended a kidney transplant as soon as possible.

Maica used to be a hardworking, inspired, productive yet struggling visual artist, who sought employment as a graphic artist in Singapore the past few years and had begun to exhibit her works in Southeast Asia. After her health rapidly deteriorated, Maica had to stop working and come home to the Philippines. Her family is trying their best to meet medical expenses, but their resources have been severely exhausted. We aim to encourage Maica not to give up.

Thus, we are organizing an art sale to urgently raise funds to help Maica win this battle.
